Pristine
Bow Lake, Alberta, CANADA
I remember this morning as if it was yesterday...all the struggle and fighting against the elements was gobsmacking... That morning was our second one of the trip and it was cold outside, really cold! Would you consider going out at -35 celsius to shoot landscape images? That was what we were there for so there was now way we were gonna stay inside the hotel room! Driving there was quite something as the Icefield Parkway was poorly cleaned and there were areas with a few inches of fluffy snow. I could barely see through the windows or our brand new rented Toyota 4Runner because the heater wasn’t powerful enough to keep those windows from freezing.
Once we got there, getting out of the truck was like a smack in the face...it was really cold! Now was the time to snowshoe into butt deep snow and at some point, I did manage to face plant. Let me tell you that getting out of there was no easy business! It did require the help of my buddy to get me back on my feet. And as if this wasn’t enough, I managed to loose a snowshoe and face planted again... 30 minutes later, we finally made it to this spot. In the summer, it literally takes 2 minutes to get there... It was time to get the camera out and start setup. The snow was so deep that my 6 feet tripod was almost all buried under snow even in fully extended mode. Barely two feet of it were above the ground. And then the tripod ballhead froze and started to give me some problems...
I was once told by a guy in Montreal that landscape photography was easy! Yeah right!! Come to the Canadian Rockies in winter and tell me if you still mean those words! But then the sun came above the horizon and started to magically light up this absolutely pristine winter wonderland, popping out all the beautiful shapes and textures of this awe inspiring landscape. Was it difficult to get there? Yes of course but was all the struggle worth it? Absolutely!

Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Non-Reflective Finish

Definitely a favorite of mine! First of all, it looks absolutely gorgeous! It’s a very slick and modern looking product! Metallic paper is used as a medium on which the image is first printed. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! With my Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Prints, the print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth. On the back of the Artwork is a mounted aluminium backing on which a slim square aluminium frame will be mounted. This frame not only serves at adding rigidity to the Artwork but it also allows us to install all the necessary mounting hardware for a super easy and hassle free ready to hang installation to your wall. If you plan on hanging you investment in a reflection sensitive area, NON-REFLECTIVE is definitely the way to go! As the name says, NON-REFLECTIVE basically means it will be reflection free.
•Please note that if you wish to purchase an Artwork with specific dimensions that aren't listed on my website, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you in the process as I will need to create a new product variant specially for you. Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Print Clear Finish

The mounting process is the same as the NON-REFLECTIVE FINISH except we use a CLEAR ACRYLIC instead of a non reflective one. You will have some reflections with clear acrylic but the blacks will also be slightly deeper. The same Metallic paper will be used as a medium. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! The print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth.
