If Anything's Left
Jasper National Park, Alberta, CANADA
Iconic scenes are always fun to photograph…they are icons for a reason and I think everyone should photograph them. But then I always find a great amount of satisfaction when I find something different than what most people have photographed. During the summer, while Gina Yeo and I were in Jasper National Park, exploring for different locations and unique compositions for a potential summer workshop next year, we went back to that scene I had previously photographed a couple years ago.
I knew for sure that summer would offer a complete different variety of foregrounds. Spring season snow melt down causes water level in all rivers to be much higher than normal which also means that some debris will be carried everywhere. This was one very beautiful piece of driftwood that was carried thanks to this and I knew I wanted to use it in my foreground. I love its texture and its curves! It did require me to capture a great amount of images to successfully focus stack the whole scene as I was standing so close to the foreground.
And then when the sunrise was over, we walked back to our vehicles, we came face to face with a big black bear. He was huge! Gina and I both stayed calm and so did the bear. He was approximately 8 meters away from us and he didn’t even mind our presence! When ever you are hiking in the Canadian Rockies, make sure to remember those very important rules:
-Stay calm…bear encounters are for the most part always going to be very peaceful experience. Give him space and let him do his things while you gently walk away.
-Do not run! Never try to outrun a bear…this will trigger his sense of hunting and he’ll catch you.
-Avoid eye contact…this could potentially provoke him.
-Always carry bear spray just in case you need it.
-If you need to spray, make sure the wind isn’t coming towards you…
Our bear encounter ended up being one of the most amazing experience of my life! He was chill and simply looking for berries to complete his breakfast! Enjoy the rest of your week and your weekend!

Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Non-Reflective Finish

Definitely a favorite of mine! First of all, it looks absolutely gorgeous! It’s a very slick and modern looking product! Metallic paper is used as a medium on which the image is first printed. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! With my Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Prints, the print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth. On the back of the Artwork is a mounted aluminium backing on which a slim square aluminium frame will be mounted. This frame not only serves at adding rigidity to the Artwork but it also allows us to install all the necessary mounting hardware for a super easy and hassle free ready to hang installation to your wall. If you plan on hanging you investment in a reflection sensitive area, NON-REFLECTIVE is definitely the way to go! As the name says, NON-REFLECTIVE basically means it will be reflection free.
•Please note that if you wish to purchase an Artwork with specific dimensions that aren't listed on my website, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you in the process as I will need to create a new product variant specially for you. Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Print Clear Finish

The mounting process is the same as the NON-REFLECTIVE FINISH except we use a CLEAR ACRYLIC instead of a non reflective one. You will have some reflections with clear acrylic but the blacks will also be slightly deeper. The same Metallic paper will be used as a medium. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! The print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth.
