Way of Water
Panther Creek Falls, Washington, USA
At first, when driving there and following my GPS’ directions, I was constantly asking myself if we were heading in the right direction because it is kind of in the middle of no where…and then I noticed the waterfall in between a couple trees of an extremely dense forest. Found the parking lot, parked, got all my things needed to capture epicness there and started making our way down to the view point. The hike to the bottom of the upper fall is pretty easy…but then when you realize where you have to hike to go to the lower fall, you definitely start questioning your life!
It’s a good thing we were very well prepared! Gina and I both had ice cleats on and walking poles in order to give us every additional little bit of traction and stability because the way down was sketchy…but one we got down at the bottom of the lower fall, I just couldn’t help myself but to put my heavy @fstopgear backpack on the ground and look at my surroundings in complete awe! The thundering noise of water, the lush green moss everywhere, the warm sun light starting to hit to top of the tree canopy…OMG! Have you seen the movie Avatar? Well, this definitely was my real-life Avatar moment!
