That image was somewhat a difficult one to finally get right… I have been to Ballintoy Sea Arch multiple times and even though I had some crazy colours in the sky at sunset, something wasn’t working. I literally had no foreground to work with. People often say that a sky can make an image work if you have a "weak" composition. I definitely disagree. To me, the image needs every elements to work. For the first time on that day, I was really happy with all the elements coming in together.
Starting with the foreground, I had lovely boulders to use as foreground interest. Tide height was optimal here. Waves were coming in and crashing against the rocks, adding the the story telling. We can tell the ocean was agitated. I remember that @ginayeophotography mentioned she didn’t like the bright yellow marine plants…she said they look messy. And they can definitely messy but I kind of liked them here as they are barely underwater and slightly moving with the water. The slower shutter speed was playing a big role here at capturing them with a slight motion. They were dancing to the beat of the waves. And the sky…it was a typical moody Irish sky…a storm was rolling in but that did represent the type of weather often seen in that lovely country. It wasn’t a display of colour but it was truly lovely. All together, the elements of that scene make for some pretty amazing dynamism. Months after capturing the image, I still feel like I am standing there, both feet into the water while enjoying a nice soundtrack of waves and singing gulls with a cool breeze coming from the north.

Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Non-Reflective Finish

Definitely a favorite of mine! First of all, it looks absolutely gorgeous! It’s a very slick and modern looking product! Metallic paper is used as a medium on which the image is first printed. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! With my Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Prints, the print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth. On the back of the Artwork is a mounted aluminium backing on which a slim square aluminium frame will be mounted. This frame not only serves at adding rigidity to the Artwork but it also allows us to install all the necessary mounting hardware for a super easy and hassle free ready to hang installation to your wall. If you plan on hanging you investment in a reflection sensitive area, NON-REFLECTIVE is definitely the way to go! As the name says, NON-REFLECTIVE basically means it will be reflection free.

The mounting process is the same as the NON-REFLECTIVE FINISH except we use a CLEAR ACRYLIC instead of a non reflective one. You will have some reflections with clear acrylic but the blacks will also be slightly deeper. The same Metallic paper will be used as a medium. Loose Premium Quality Fine Art Print

So maybe you are not into Acrylic Face Mounted prints because you don’t like this process? Or maybe you would prefer to buy a loose print of one of my Artwork to frame in a frame you already own? You’ll be excited to know that I also sell loose Artwork prints! And you can also be assured that I won’t cut the corners there either as those prints will also be printed on state of the art Archive paper with Archive inks meaning your investment will last a lifetime!

•Please note that packaging, shipping and handling are included to Canada and United States of America (Lower 48 States only). Due to the fact that all Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art are fragile, they will be shipped into custom made wooden boxes made specifically for your purchase.

•All Loose Premium Quality Fine Art Prints will be rolled and shipped into a solid and sturdy cylinder box.

•Note that if you wish to pick your Artwork in person, local pick up is an option as long as you are near Montreal, CANADA. I would also deduct the shipping fees from your purchase but you'd need to advise me by email before finalizing check out. This would give you the opportunity to meet me in person and I'd be really happy about that!
