You are probably going to wonder why I named this one Last Minute Deal? Keep reading…the story is quite funny.
You’ve probably seen images of an explosive sunrise at White Pocket in my portfolio? This sunrise just so happened to be the one from the same day as we drove out of Vermillion Cliffs all the way to Moab. I would have stayed longer there but we had to move on to the next location. The drive is long, we are talking about almost 7 hours and it’s only highway driving so definitely not the most interesting one to do. Then we arrived to Moab. Both Gina and I were hungry. The intelligent thing to do was to stop to get some food and then check-in at out hotel.
But the photography passionate inside me said we should go photograph some rocks because photography is more important right? How much time was left before sunset was kind of a mystery because we had conflicting time information. We weren’t sure if we had switch time zone. The rental car said a different time than my phone…which was right? And the sky was looking like everything but promising. After looking at weather forecast, I opted to go to Turret Arch. I told myself if we have a very slim chance of colours, this could be the place to be!
The walk is fairly short, it was funny to see Gina face when she was looking at these giant arches. Then we made it to Turret Arch. I spotted this nice piece of dead tree, setup my camera and started to photograph the scene. After viewing the first couple frame on my camera, I noticed some colour in the sky and I was sure a bunch of artifacts on the images when in fact it was the sky starting to light up! It lasted only a handful of minutes but it was very welcome. And we were at THE only spot where the sky caught colours…talk about luck!

Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Non-Reflective Finish
Definitely a favorite of mine! First of all, it looks absolutely gorgeous! It’s a very slick and modern looking product! Metallic paper is used as a medium on which the image is first printed. This type of paper makes the colors of the image look deeper and more vibrant! With my Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art Prints, the print itself is sandwiched between a clear 1/8″ acrylic and a 1/8″ aluminum backing. The addition of the acrylic in front of the print adds so much depth to the image, giving it an almost 3D feel. It’s not a 3D print…but the acrylic gives an effect of depth. On the back of the Artwork is a mounted aluminium backing on which a slim square aluminium frame will be mounted. This frame not only serves at adding rigidity to the Artwork but it also allows us to install all the necessary mounting hardware for a super easy and hassle free ready to hang installation to your wall. If you plan on hanging you investment in a reflection sensitive area, NON-REFLECTIVE is definitely the way to go! As the name says, NON-REFLECTIVE basically means it will be reflection free.

The mounting process is the same as the NON-REFLECTIVE FINISH except we use a CLEAR ACRYLIC instead of a non reflective one. You will have some reflections with clear acrylic but the blacks will also be slightly deeper. The same Metallic paper will be used as a medium. NOTES ABOUT PACKAGING, SHIPPING and HANDLING
•Please note that packaging, shipping and handling are included to Canada and United States of America (Lower 48 States only). Due to the fact that all Acrylic Face Mounted Premium Fine Art are fragile, they will be shipped into custom made wooden boxes made specifically for your purchase.
•All Loose Premium Quality Fine Art Prints will be rolled and shipped into a solid and sturdy cylinder box.
•Note that if you wish to pick your Artwork in person, local pick up is an option as long as you are near Montreal, CANADA. I would also deduct the shipping fees from your purchase but you'd need to advise me by email before finalizing check out. This would give you the opportunity to meet me in person and I'd be really happy about that!
